The Mechanics themselves carry portable gap generators and are impossible to hit or kill. In this state, the Death Projector can be damaged, though its fortified outer shell still harmlessly deflects a percentage of all incoming attacks. Its magitech shield is impenetrable to all weapons, but when it senses a Mechanic nearby, it lowers its shield to enable maintenance. The siege tower is tended to by trained Zakarumite techpriests.

Once you enter, you cannot go back trough the stairs. Swampy Pit Level 3 (Act 3: Flayer Jungle) Prepare well before entering an uberquest area. The Watcher orb, The Allseeing eye coronet, Ennead's Bane Kazarghand, The Ivory Tower shield, Rabbit's Foot boots, shit rings, shit ammy, shit belt and some Pul gloves. I do kind of want to try a mana sorc though, keeping my eye out for good gear for it and might switch. That might change once I get to harder content but unless I hit a wall I'm sticking with it. I don't know why everyone seems to default to melee sorc ( 51% of sorcs last season according to this?), I've been having a blast playing elemental. Abyss is a pain in the ass but with enough cast speed you just spam the shit out of it everywhere and everything dies, don't need to worry about aiming it so much. Maxed Snow Queen and Warp Armor for defense. Tempest for easy mobs (Tempest is great for farming Island of the Sunless Sea for example) or Abyss if Tempest isn't getting the job done.
Thunderstone is my main boss killer, it has wrecked all bosses so far. So far everything has been a breeze, I can handle cows and every boss I've come up against so far (done all 105 and 110 challenges except Assualt on Mt Arreat because I haven't finished act 5 yet) with mediocre runewords and T4 gear. I'm currently 114 running ice / lightning spec. More likely than not it'd be melee w/ very gg gear. In Sigma I could prob do the vast majority of the 105-120 charms as a summoner/caster hybrid, but I'd need to respec for the super late-game bosses. Killing Quiv'sin wasn't a problem (I just didn't summon anything), but Kabraxis was out of the realm of reality. I got the 25 easiest charms solo, as well as my class charm and ennead challenge np. It's a good leveling spec, but the problems arise when you need to fight bosses that heal off of kills, or they deal massive AoE damage that wipes your summons out - or both. I've seriously had lorenado w/ 20 hard points hit for over 50k on lvl 100 runewords, and 15 water elementals w/ 30k life to tank for me, + swords.
It's heavily gear dependent, whereas a caster/summoner sorc can get away w/ shit rune words through most of the intermediate content.
I died once on nightmare meph on my way to lvl 120. Personally I leveled ice/poison hybrid when immune was a thing. Lightning for the armor/damage avoid super maxed, 1 point into the AoE damage ability at the bottom of the lightning tree, then 5 points into vengeful power for the physical damage mitigation. I just talked to him last night, and he said he built mana sorc with light/poison peripherals. The leader of the ladder for a long time this season was a sorc, and he's sitting at 3rd now.
